Starsky “Goin’” Owen was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Round Rock Police. The charges have not been made public, but a police spokesman indicated that it had to do with Cherry Kool-Aide, magic markers and exactly one half of a bale of hay. Owen could not be reached for comment, but his agent called the incident “a misunderstanding.”
Owen, the Barracudas starting power forward, is expected to miss Wednesday’s game against 78729.
This news could not come at a worse time for the Barracudas. It was announced earlier today that Owen’s backup, Michael Lannan will miss Wednesday’s game with a high ankle sprain.
To fill their depleted roster, the Barracudas called up Grant Hill (the white one) and Jeremiah Cargill from their Y League affiliate, the Vista Vending Machines.
